The theme for the 26^th American Peptide Symposium symposium was “Catch the Wave of Peptide Science” and it was held at the Portola Hotel & Monterey Conference Center. Monterey, CA. Chairs were Paramjit Arora, New York University, and Anna Mapp, University of Michigan

Nobel Laureate Frances Arnold of the California Institute of Technology opened the symposium with her lecture “Innovation by Evolution: Bringing New Chemistry to Life.” The closing lecture was held by Professor Helma Wennemers of ETH-Zurich on “Controlling Supramolecular Assemblies with Peptidic Scaffolds.”
