Biopolymers: The Official Journal of the American Peptide Society

The American Peptide Society and Wiley are delighted to announce Biopolymers as the official journal of the Society as of 2026. APS and Biopolymers are natural partners, with a relationship that began in 1963 when former APS president Professor Murray Goodman founded the journal. At that time Biopolymers filled the need for a multi-disciplinary forum in which advances in peptide science writ large could be reported. Since then peptide science has grown in scope and impact and Biopolymers remains a vital venue.

As our official journal Biopolymers will serve as a publishing home for APS members and the broader peptide community. The journal will publish original research articles, rapid communications, and high-impact reviews covering synthetic methodology, structural biology, biophysics, peptide therapeutics, drug delivery, biomaterials, peptidomimetics, and self-assembling peptides. In addition, there will be APS-focused content to highlight the spectacular work done by our members. Stay tuned for more details and we look forward to highlighting your next Biopolymers paper!

The partnership also brings benefits to both APS and Wiley. Wiley provides APS with an annual sponsorship grant of $12,500 and complimentary electronic access to Biopolymers for APS members. In turn, APS actively supports the journal through commissioning and promotional activities, including the development of a Special Collection each year. This collaboration helps APS support activities for its community while strengthening the visibility of Biopolymers and encouraging high-quality submissions from the peptide-science community.
